The European Technology Platform Photonics21 represents the photonics community of industry and research organisations. Jointly with the European Commission our members develop and implement a common photonics strategy in a Horizon2020 Public Private Partnership (PPP) to spur growth and jobs in Europe. Website photonics21.org Following on from the successful new brand idenity we created for Photonics21 in 2015, we were tasked at the end of 2020 to explore a refresh of the 'light' graphic we created. The new graphic is based on light reflection and 'shafts of light' and how they would play and blend with each each other.Market Data and Industry Report
One of the first project that was completed using the new brand device was the Photonics21 "Market Data and Industry Report' of 2020.
This 132 page report is two documents in one. The first part being an Industry Report for 2020 outlining the specificities of the photonics industry and its fast growing competitiveness. The second part is a Market Data Report providing facts, figures and data around the photonics industry market touching on its market size and growth and its production by geographical area.
Market Research Study
We also completed a 28 page facts and data illustrated reserch study which was also produced as a PowerPoint document as well.

In the same spirit as the new brand identity, we created a simple announcement ad for use in social media.

Photonics21 also runs a competition which aims to support talented makers, students, and young entrepreneurs, who have a real interest in developing an idea into a product by combining creativity with photonics.
The contest consists of a cash prize of €5,000, an entrepreneurial skills training, and contact with Venture Capitalists.
This is the press advert that we created for its launch.

At the end of 2020 we were asked to create an infographic to give an overview to the general public on what photonics can contribute when it comes to infections especially in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following on from that we were then tasked with bringing the infographic to life as an animation with a voice-over that could be used online and also in social media.
